After each Latino Career Expo, El Mundo Newspaper hosts the Professional Mixer - a professional networking event that features a diverse list of guests from different communities of color from across the Commonwealth.
During this event, high profile key-note speakers such as former Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, and The Mayor of Boston Thomas M. Menino address the leaders of the Latino community.

In Massachusetts, the number of Latinos jumped 50 percent in a decade, to 482,729 in 2000, or 7 percent of the population, according to the US census Bureau. The explosive growth of the area's Hispanic community has been dramatic in urban centers such as Boston, which is now 14 percent Latino.
The Latino Career Expo provides a venue to reach this booming community, both to employers and to young, dynamic job seekers.

The goal of the Latino Career Expo series is to create a win-win situation for both exhibitors and attendees, so that recruiters can tap into the large, but difficult to reach pool of qualified Latino candidates. At the same time candidates are introduced to progressive organizations that believe in truly embracing diversity.
