For her most recent collection, Spring/Summer 2009, De La Torre’s collection shows pieces in a variety
of bold colors, with 14 or 18 karat yellow, pink and green gold vermeil and sterling silver as well as
gemstones in their natural state and found objects.
In terms of her last collection, Catalina says:” Recently, there is a growing focus on gemstones in their
natural state, gems that have not been overly manipulated. This collection is inspired on Gaia, our
mother earth and its power of creation”. Catalina’s organic-looking jewelry is made from a huge variety
of naturally handcrafted stones and crystals from around the world. Undoubtedly, Catalina has become
a leading force in this trend.
